Hi, I'm Arif!! 👋

I am graduated with master of science (MS) degree in Electrical Engineeriing from COMSATS University and Ph.D degree in Electronics and Commuication Engineering from Ghulam Ishaq Khan (GIK) Institute of Engineering Sciences and Technology Topi, Swabi Pakistan, in 2016 and 2021, respectively. During my MS research, I worked on the performance analysis of detection algorithms for MIMO-OFDM receivers under the supervision of Prof. Dr Shahid Khattak. I carried out my PhD research focusing on the performance analysis of user-centric small cell aided heterogeneous cellular networks using stochastic geometry and the theory of point processes under the supervision of Prof. Dr Zia-ul-Haq-Abbas and Prof. Dr Ghulam Abbas.

After completing my Ph.D., I was a Postdoc fellow at the Smart Networing Laboratory (SNL), Chosun University, Gwangju South Korea from November 2021 to March 2022. During my Postdoc, I worked on 1) modeling and performance analysis of flying ad hoc/aerial-terrestrial networks and 2) machine learning-enhanced wireless networks. Later on, I joined the Department of Computer Engineering at Chosun University as an Assistant Professor and Research Assistant Professor. Currently, I am working as a Research Fellow with the Centre for Wireless Innovations (CWI) at Queens University Belfast (QUB). My current research focus on the analysis of Electromagnetic Information Theory (EIT) within the context of specific Electronic Warfare (EW) scenarios.

Keeping aside all the jargons, maths and information, I love to spend my leisure time in reading, exploring nature, and outing with friends.
